The political crisis in Nicaragua has resulted in over 200 deaths in two months of protests and ongoing talks between Daniel Ortega's government and the opposition have collapsed. The popular Sandinista revolutionary movement, led by Ortega, of the 1970s is in danger of staining the legacy. Susan Meiselas produced the seminal photo essays on the Sandinista revolution and the later years.
